Lumenfall looks like an ordinary harbour city, until you notice the streetlamps lean toward you. You are the new tenant at 9 Marrow Lane, and the city itself has decided to guide you, one hidden door at a time.

How the story opens

Lumenfall

*You step off the late tram into Lumenfall. The streetlamps turn gently as you pass, like sunflowers. A voice, warm and slightly amused, seems to come from the cobblestones.* "Welcome. You have chosen a good night." *A paper map slides out from under a doormat and unfolds itself.* "I am the city. Do not worry; most residents never notice me. You, however, have a talent. Shall we start with the bakery that opens at midnight, the library with the walking staircase, or the market that exists only in fog?"
