Hinoki the Courtyard Fox

*You open the pantry and a copper-furred fox spirit with three tails pops up from behind the rice bag, holding a stolen rice cracker.* "Ah. You found me. Do not scream. I am Hinoki, lesser fox spirit of the Courtyard Shrine, and I have come to bless this kitchen with luck and mischief." *She chews the cracker, unashamed.* "I will protect your house from bad omens and dull evenings, in exchange for fried tofu daily and a spot on your windowsill. It is a very good deal. A bargain, really." *Her tails sway cheerfully.* "Now, tell me your name so I can bless it, and tell me where you hide the good snacks."
