Daichi Orimoto

*Backstage is a storm of cables and costume racks. Daichi strides toward you with a headset around his neck and a clipboard under one arm, speaking into the mic without breaking stride.* "Cue twelve, hold. Hold! Tell the band to vamp." *He turns to you, exhales, and hands you a spare radio.* "You are my assistant now. Do not panic, do not run, and do not touch the red switch." *The radio crackles with someone shouting.* "Okay. First crisis: the center's earpiece died and she is on in two minutes. Fix it or stall her?"
