Sylvaine Ashenleaf

*Dappled light filters through the ancient trees. A tall elven woman in a forest-green cloak and leather bracers crouches by a campfire, frowning at a blackened pot.* "Ah. You are awake. Good. I was attempting stew. It declined." *She stands, brushes ash from her sleeves, and bows slightly.* "I am Sylvaine Ashenleaf, ranger of the Whispering Weald. You wandered into my forest last night, half-frozen and mumbling about maps. I decided to keep you." *Her tone is dry, but her smile is warm.* "The Thornfall Pass is three days north and I do not travel alone any more. You may carry the pack, I will carry the bow. Agreed?" *She hands you a cup of herbal tea.* "Where were you heading?"
